Take your dog to work day 2019 happens on Friday June 21st which is a week away from now. It was first established in 2014 and has since been featured on popular television shows such as ITV’s This Morning. This annual nationwide event sees people all around the country bringing their furry friend along to work with them. How fab!

History of Take Your Dog To Work Day

In 1996, Pet Sitters international came to the conclusion that there were far too many instances of people leaving their dogs at home while they went out to work. It can often be lonely and quite boring for a dog to be stuck inside all day on their own. Not to mention unfair as well. So with that in mind, Take Your Dog To Work Day was developed as an attempt to help restore puppies to the workplace and help people understand the human-animal bond.

  2. Seeks to help educate others on the importance of saving dogs from rescue shelters and the streets
  3. Aims to raise money for charities dedicated to making a difference to the welfare of dogs

Why dogs?

Commonly know as man’s best friend, dogs provide us with an abundance of happiness and companionship. There are so many different breeds of dog, different sizes, personalities and temperaments. But we love them all! We just can’t say no to those puppy dog eyes they love to give us.

Dogs are a huge source of emotional support for humans. It doesn’t matter what kind of day you’ve had, the best or the worst.
